In place of BitTorrent, a new software called eXeem develop by the Suprnova.org team came out to be the next generation P2P client.
It's the combination of Kazaa and BT,
tho it's still on beta stage, check it out!

P.S. unfortunately eXeem contains spyware, so the anti-spyware ppl develop a lite version of eXeem, the eXeem Lite, which is plain P2P client without ads.

In Hong Kong, there is one the first in history, a BT user have been arrested for seeding three American movies. He is facing charges for up to four years in jail.
In Japan, a Tokyo U student has been arrested for developing a Bittorrent software. all his computers and equipments are confiscated.
In US, a user of a famous MP3 P2P sharing software WinMX has been arrested for uploading illegal song copies.
